December 2010

What an exciting time of year! We hope that you had a Happy Thanksgiving and that you are enjoying the Christmas season. As we enter the holidays the Southern Hills family has a lot to be thankful for. We are thankful for how God has continued to grow us together as a team and how He has increased our passion to share His love and message with the people of North Austin.

We are also thankful for the many people who have been faithful to pray for us and encourage us as we plan and prepare. We recently had the opportunity to share our ministry plans with our church family at Sonrise Baptist Church in Ozark, Missouri. We are very thankful to have a church who consistently and creatively expresses their love and support for Southern Hills.

As we have shared our plans many people have asked what they can do to help us prepare. The first thing that we always ask for is your prayer support. Please pray that God will receive the honor as we make plans and raise support for Southern Hills. We are in the process of asking pastors for the chance to present our ministry to their churches. Please pray that God will give us many opportunities to share our plan and our passion with other believers. Also, please pray that God will begin to work in the hearts of the people of North Austin. We know that He is the only one who can truly change lives and we pray that He would prepare people to receive the message that we will be sharing.

Another way you can help is by contributing financially to Southern Hills. Although we are not in Austin yet, we are already starting to purchase the things that the church is going to need. Anything you can give will be a blessing.

We are very thankful for all of you who faithfully encourage us and pray for the ministry of Southern Hills. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or thoughts we would love to hear them. Feel free to email us at contact.us@southernhillslife.org.

May God receive the glory from our lives and the ministry of Southern Hills.

Merry Christmas!
