God Keeps His Promises in a Variety of Ways for a Solitary Purpose

Back to Message Archive

We live in a culture where people almost expect one another to go back on their word, thus kids make each other pinky promise to follow through on their word and adults have long contracts we make each other sign to hold one another accountable to keeping true to what we said. This is one of the many reasons that the Bible is so Bible so compelling. The Bible is a story of God making radical promises and keeping those promises in dramatic fashion. You could say the Bible opens up with God making the promise of salvation in Genesis 3 and closes out in Revelation with God fulfilling that epic promise and countless promises in between. At the center of all of this is the Promise-Keeping God and our story in Acts 28 puts His promise keeping nature on display.
