Trusting the Promises and Providence of God

As we continue to follow the story of Paul it may appear that there is little application for us. In this passage there are no exhortations to holy living or admonitions against sin. There is no specific discussion of any doctrine or point of theology. Luke doesn’t call out any particular ways that we should or should not live. But even still, this passage is so relevant for us.

On the surface this passage appears be about Paul and the situations that he faced, but as we slow down and look more closely we see that there is so much more. When we pull back the curtain on this story we see how God is providentially working out His good plan and keeping His promises to Paul.
