Tonight is a special night of worship for us. As most of you should be aware, tonight we are taking part in our first Covenant Sunday. What is Covenant Sunday? I am so glad you asked. This is something we will do once a year, around this time, where we will take time to remember and reflect on who we are as a church. What does it mean to be part of Southern Hills? Maybe a better question would be, who has God called us to be as a church? What kinds of commitments are we making as a part of Southern Hills?
With all of this in mind we are going to take a break from our series where we have been walking through the 10 Commandments, fear not, it will resume next week with Commandment 3, but tonight I wanted to take a break and consider a passage of Scripture that speaks to who we are as the church. (1 Peter 2:1-10).
