There are few things that our hearts get entangled in more quickly than that of money and possessions. Our culture doesn't help the matter as it exalts the super-rich and the opulent lifestyles they live, telling us that living large is truly living. James opens up the 5th chapter of his letter with a challenging word to those who live under a love of money. As followers of Christ we must be determined to fight to liberate our hearts from a love of money by tasting and seeing the superior satisfaction found only in Jesus. (Thomas Dawsey - James 5:1-6)
