When we see a good dad that we love or admire or want to celebrate on a day like Father's Day what we are really celebrating is the goodness of God that is being reflected by someone else. This is true because all things intrisically find their meaning, purpose, and significance in God, their Creator. As their designer God defined all things, including fatherhood. Thus to be a good father we need to be like THE Good Father. So tonight we will be studying a parable of Jesus that reveals God as the Good Father and considering how we may be like Him for the glory of God and the good of our families. (Luke 15:11-32)
