We live in an interesting day and age within the United States. The spiritual climate within America is changing radically and rapidly. Since the United States came into being over 200 years ago we have been considered a Christian nation. We largely were founded on principles rooted in Christian truth and Christian morality was largely the norm for most. However, in the past few decades great change has some about. We have seen Christianity move from mainstream to tolerated and it won’t be long before we see it shunned by popular culture.
The question we should ask is, are we ready for this? How should we get ready for this? How might we engage people in our culture whose worldview is ever-changing from ours? How can we reach out to people like this with the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Paul’s example in our text tonight helps us answer these questions.
As we walk through our passage tonight we will pick up on 5 truths we need to faithfully and fruitfully engage our culture with the Gospel.
