There are more than enough things going on in this life to suck the hope from our spirits. We live in a world that can often feel hopless. Everything feels as if it is going in the wrong direction in so many ways, doesn’t it? Yet despite all the reasons we can come up with to lose hope the Gospel should inspire hope within us as it reminds us that Jesus has overcome and in Him we have and will overcome as well. The book of Acts should cause our hope to bubble over as we see the Gospel triumph in the hearts and lives of others over and over again. What a blessing God has given us in the book of Acts, reminder after reminder of His power to change lives through His Gospel. Our passage tonight gives us 3 scenes of the triumph of the Gospel and teaches us 3 important truths about Gospel triumph along the way. (Acts 16:16-40).
