Raising a Generation that Follows God

With our Parent-Child Dedication Service next week we wanted to take time to consider the biblical call upon our lives towards the kids that God has placed in our lives. The Scriptures remind us of the sobering reality that we are only one generation away from seeing the great God of the universe abandoned. It is this reality that should urge us to joyfully and lovingly tell our children of the wonderous God that we serve. As we consider this call, many of those who have children who do not yet know the Lord will covenant together next week to raise their children in a way that points their little hearts to Christ. As we make this commitment we do so calling upon the Lord to do what only He can, change their hearts and capture their love. We look forward to this special service and this sermon will help prepare us for the covenant we are making towards the children of Southern Hills.
