If you were asked to identify people in our culture who had achieved true greatness what kinds of people would you think of? Billionairs? Star athletes? Celebrities? CEOs of big companies? People with great power or influence? While that is where most of us would look, Jesus defines greatness far differently than most. In the command He shares in our passage this week we find how we can find true greatness in the eyes of the only one that matters... Jesus. (Matthew 23:12)
