During the Christmas season we see commercial after commercial telling us that we should buy our loved ones the newer "this" or the better "that." We are encouraged to upgrade and the the latest and greatest "whatever." Truth is none of these new flashy items will last forever. They will all grow dusty, dull, old and break down. The one gift that trancends all others is Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate upgrade. He lacks nothing. When God gave us Jesus on Christmas 2,000 years ago He gave the ultimate gift that came to replace many of the old, broken gifts with a perfect one. We see a prime example of this in Hebrews 7. Jesus came to be a better High Priest for us. Our passage gives 5 reasons as to why Jesus is a better High Priest than the Levitical line of priests. As we walk through these verses my prayer is that our hearts would rejoice in the amazing gift in allt hat we have with Jesus. He truely is the better High Priest. (Hebrews 7:20-28)
