Up to this point Paul has shared many specific instructions with Timothy on truthes and principles that will help restore the Ephesian church to health, but in our passage tonight, as we are right in the middle of Paul's letter, he takes a step back out of the specifics and reminds the church who they are, their mission and message. It can be easy to lose sight of our mission when we get bogged down in details or distracted, but the church can't afford to make this mistake. The mission and message are too important. (1 Tim 3:14-16)
